Annette King

 

Annette King is the Minister of State Services, Minister of Police, Minister for Food Safety, Associate Minister of Trade, Coordinating Minister, Race Relations.

Annette King was educated at Murchison District High School and Waimea College, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Waikato University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Dental Nursing 1981. She worked as a Dental Nurse from 1967-81, and tutored at the School of Dental Nurses, Wellington, from 1982-84.

Annette was Chief Executive of Palmerston North Enterprise from 1991-1993, is a former Vice President of the State Dental Nurses Institute, and was a Trustee of the Disabled Persons Assembly Trust form 1989-1991.

Annette has been a member of the Labour Party since 1972, has held various offices, and was on Executive from 1991 to 1992.
