Cognisant of the 6 Development Goals, in particular Employer of Choice and Excellent State Servants

Summary

Workplace Productivity Agenda (WPA) is a joint initiative between the Government (DoL) and Business New Zealand, the Council of Trade Unions and the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce. In addition, we have a working relationship with a number of business representatives.

Cabinet has agreed to extend the WPA into the public sector. This case study focuses on the initiatives that are being developed with the State Services Commission to facilitate the improvement of public sector workplace practises and performance. It will consider the public policy imperative for improving public sector productivity, together with the key learnings from the processes and case studies that have been developed for implementing the agenda across the private sector.
